interior design for the Office of the President, the President’s Dining Room, Trustees’ Board Room, the President’s apartment and the Jesuit Community, Library and Chapel.

David Jay Flood Architect’s long working relationship with Mobil Oil Corporation included remodeling existing facilities and offices, designing new employee fitness and recreation facilities, and developing new industry design and graphic standards for use nationally and internationally. 

Other projects include the 85,000 square foot, mixed-use Alpert Jewish Community Center located in Long Beach, three multi-family housing complexes in Los Angeles, the programming, space planning and interior design for the 400-bed dormitory and dining facility for the International Residence College at the University of Southern California, several aquatics venues located in Pasadena, Long Beach and Los Alamitos, California, new aquatic complex at University of California – Berkeley and Santa Barbara.

DJFA has also been involved in the concept to redesign the Belmont Aquatics Plaza in Long Beach; 2002 and 2006 NCAA Water Polo Championships held at LMU; the planning for all of the 2012 and 2016 Los Angeles Olympic Bid venues and villages and the program, planning and design for the Long Beach 2004 Olympics Swimming Trials.

Since 1983, DJFA has embraced the use of computers.  For design, drafting, and visualization our system incorporates industry standards ArchiCAD, AutoCAD and Form-Z.  We employ Adobe applications for graphic design and digital imaging.  Using our system we can create anything from traditional 2D drawings, to advanced 3D animations.  We use the AIA Master Spec computer specification system, which is adapted for specific projects.
