Foley Annex Temporary Classrooms and Offices
Loyola Marymount University
Los Angeles CA
David Jay Flood Architect, working with Loyola Marymonunt University staff, trailer distributor and trailer manufacturer, developed a 10,000 sq. ft. facility in fourteen 12’ x 60’ modules located in a parking lot on the main campus.
The manufactured building sits on standard footings accommodating a sloping site and allowing for mandated mitigating ventilation for methane.
The exterior design reflects a modular batt grid system visually tying together the architectural elevation elements. The exterior color scheme and entry overhangs identify each of the three building use areas.
The off-site fabricated trailer technology is approved by the State of California, Department of Housing & Community Development which supersedes local Building Department review for the building.
The four-month on-site construction period included site work support.
