Southwest Savings and Loan Association
Prescott AZ

108 NORTH CORTEZ AVENUE - The two-story brick office building belonging to Southwest Savings and Loan Association was situated on the main street of Prescott, Arizona, across from the town square. Originally built in 1903 the detailed brick decorative corbels were damaged and many exterior details were removed or hidden by a 1970 remodel.
Architects at DJFA removed the modern facade from the 12,000 square foot building and restored the original brick work. Aluminum window mullions were replaced with oak, and the interiors were designed by the architects to reflect a turn-of-the-century motif with a contemporary use of oak, marble and brass.
