President's Dining & Board Rooms
Loyola Marymount University

Los Angeles CA

The President’s Dining Room and the Trustees’ Board Room are accessed through a common Lobby in the Dining Room. Inset carpets in custom colored wood flooring border separate and define a small seating area as well as the dining area which can comfortably accommodate intimate dinner parties of 4 on up to 32 people. A custom designed light element comprised of alabaster pendant light fixtures suspended from a bronze-colored floating barrel vault casts a warm glow over the room.
The Board Room, originally designed to accommodate 25 people was expanded to seat 50 around new custom-built walnut burl tables. The subtle palette of colors and materials, used in the Dining and Board Rooms, include panelized rice paper wall covering and Japanese influenced wood joinery. Both areas are serviced by a full commercial catering kitchen.
