The design, materials, furnishings and color palette for the new Office of the President were specifically selected to create a welcoming atmosphere, one that's comfortable, yet distinctive. The 12,000 square foot suite includes reception and administrative areas, offices, a conference room, gallery, private dining room and Trustees' Board Room.
The entry and reception area set the tone for the interiors - cherry wood panel entry doors with sidelights mark the entry; a curved wall with clerestory windows encloses the comfortable custom furnishings of the reception area; and a warm, earth-toned palette of materials, including custom paneling, carpet and hardwood flooring all help to draw in and welcome visitors.
The feeling of comfortable luxury culminates in the President's Office. The lacquered paneled space features vaulted and coffered ceilings, built-in bookcases and media center, custom furniture and area carpets. A medieval inspired wood-burning fireplace provides a focal point for informal meetings. Hidden behind a panel door is a cozy private skylit office with built-in bookcases.
