2016 Los Angeles Coliseum
Los Angeles CA

David Jay Flood Architect provided programming and the 26 sports venue layouts for the 2016 Los Angeles Olympic Bid Documents, including a design concept for adding luxury boxes at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The concept uses independent space frames that do not infringe on the architectural historic stadium which was used for the 1932 and 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The design adds stairs, hoists and shade structures with graphics of historic Olympic symbols of athletes in motion and Olympic rings tied together with laurel wreathes depicting Olympic honor and world peace.
