Therapy and Teaching Pool Addition
Pasadena CA

The AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Center will replace the existing unused children's pool with a new heated therapy pool with stairs and an access ramp for the handicapped. The pool will be used for rehabilitation, senior aerobics and beginning swimming lessons. The pool will be open to the sky; surrounding the pool will be a deck covered with a varied height tent structure. The structure will contain non-flame strip heaters for user comfort and lighting will be used to create a festive atmosphere for events. New Plexiglas and frames will be installed in the existing colonnades to reduce wind in and around the new pool. This project is permitted and awaiting the start of construction.
