The mission was create a unique, unified and high-energy venue for Cal Aquatic Programs, including mens and womens swimming, diving, and water polo to be shared as an academic and recreation facility for students and faculty.
The Spieker site proposes to update the swimming pool facilities including added athletes and officials support facilities at deck level, with venue spectator seating and coaches support located above the athlete's area.
