AVI Hotel - "Tower" Scheme
Laughlin NV

Taking advantage of unparalleled views of the Colorado River flowing through desert sage against a panorama of chiseled mountains was paramount in the orientation of this tower structure. As a natural extension to the existing hotel the design statement introduces the angularity of the existing architecture while emphasizing its verticality. The horizontal shade and pop-out elements provide balcony opportunities as well as distinctive articulation to the repetitive aspect of the fenestration. Maximizing footprint and functional efficiency; the incorporation of skewed unit modules
