Silverlakes
Victorville CA

Located in the high desert 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles, Silverlakes is a year-round destination resort offering golf, tennis and a variety of recreation amenities around two man-made lakes.
David Jay Flood Architect preformed planning and feasibility studies as well as the design for 144 condominium units, a golf course clubhouse and 65 room lodge complex including a restaurant, bar and meeting rooms.
The building was designed in cement plaster and tile, indigenous with desert surroundings. The hot climate of the Mojave Desert called for special design solutions. The buildings were implemented atop a hill to take advantage of air currents and distant views. All 65-guest rooms are oriented northeast to avoid direct sun exposure. One and two-story condominiums will overlook the golf course.
